The volunteers and homeless residents of the West Milford Animal Shelter would like to thank everyone who participated and supported our annual Walk-A-Dog-Athon. We hope everyone enjoyed their walk in beautiful Wawayanda State Park.
The three participants who raised the most donations and won one of the top three prizes were:
- James Warden who donated back his $400 Grand Prize win
- Roberta Wurdemann who donated back her $200 ShopRite gift certificate donated by Inserra Supermarkets
- Victoria Reinstra won the $180 Tom-Tom GPS system that was donated by Greenwood Lake Animal Hospital, Hewitt.
The winners in the other contests are listed with owners name first and pets name second, and they were:
Best Dressed:
- First place was shared by Kelsey and “Finnley” (hot dog theme) and Kelly and “Molly” (Superman theme).
- Sharing second place were Kiley and “Shiloh (nurse and doctor) and Corine and Max (crystal ball).
- Third place were Deanna and “Roxy”
Smallest by Size:
- First place were Pete and “Coco” Davis
- Second place were Alyssa and “Buttons”
- Third place were Molly and Riley and “Blato”
Largest by size:
- First place were Ginger and “Charlie”
- Second place were Michelle and “Diesel”
- Third place were Zachery and “Brandy.”
Best Trick:
- First place were Mary and: "Charles Darwin"
- Second place were Mary and “Amelia”
- Third Place was Corine and “Max.”
Best Kisser:
- First place were Molly and Riley and “Balto”
